We present the first issue of the Fontes Musicae in Polonia music scores series: the critical edition of four compositions by Martin Kretzmer, a Jesuit from Braniewo, active also in Vilnius and Warsaw. His musical output, inspired by the famous treatise of Athanasius Kircher’s Musurgia universalis, was known in many centers of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, and also in Silesia.
