Ewa Hauptman-Fischer works in Music Department of the University of Warsaw Library, cataloguing early Silesian music documents for the International Inventory of Musical Sources (RISM). She studied musicology at the University of Warsaw and graduated in 2003 with MA thesis entitled ‘Eighteenth-century music of the Cistercian abbey in Pelplin: The catalogue and a review of the collection’ (published in 2006 in “Studia Pelplińskie” 37, p. 13–180). Currently she is working on her PhD thesis on the music culture of the Cistercians in Silesia in 18th century. Her main field of interest are studies in sources, particularly monastic collection. She is the author over a dozen articles and participant of Polish and international conferences.
